It really offends me when someone who barely knows me at all makes an impetuous assumption about my religious beliefts based on one or two political views. I think sex before marriage is okay as long as love is involved, I think homosexuality should be accepted, I think a woman should be able to become a minister if she wants to, etc etc etc. All of these, with my numerous supporting reasons behind each, were retaliated against with one argument, "the Bible says..."
...which is fine really. I enjoy the discussion, I enjoy hearing others' beliefs, but please don't try and change mine. It goes one step too far when you tell me that the debate won't be solved unless you go back on your beliefs, or I become a Christian. You never asked about my religion, you don't know what goes on inside my head, and you don't know how often I pray, so who are you to say I'm not Christian because of a couple opinions on issues that really shouldn't be religion-based at all?

It's things like this that got me lost in such religious uncertainty in the first place.

People are so negative...you get a compliment and think "hmmm...nice, this person thinks I'm _____." Then it's over.
If something bad happens, however, perhaps finding out that someone doesn't like you, especially if you've never had a conflict with with said person and they don't have a concrete reason...it's disturbing. You can't shrug it off because you can't help but wonder if others feel the same.

To the residents of my home,

Do you remember me? I'm in the corner of the kitchen right next to your dear friend, the sink. Most people call me "the dishwasher" because that's what I do; if you open my door I have a beautiful display of compartments and racks on which you can place your dishes. If you do this, pour a little soap into me, close my door, then turn my dial. Leave me alone for a little bit and I'll have a wonderful surprise waiting for you when you return...your dishes, all sparkling and clean!! It's really quite remarkable. I suggest you try it sometime. It's very fun for me and to be honest I miss doing it very much. You see, when I was invented they gave me the name "dishwasher" for a reason...I wash dishes. It is my calling, and when I can't do that I feel neglected. VERY neglected.
In addition, you may or may not know that the sink and I are very good friends (all that time next to each other in the kitchen it's bound to happen) so I know him quite well. You see, a sink takes great pride in being shiny and beautiful. It's a bit of a humiliating experience for a sink to be covered in dishes and grime as they have no true means of removing the grime on their own, and it makes a sink very unhappy to be in said condition.
After a few days like this, Sink's unhappiness turns to anger and he rebels by expelling a putrid stench...his only defense. This is a sink's way of defending itself and calling out to its humans, alerting them that there is cleaning to be done. This unpleasant scent, if not dealt with quickly, can even be damaging to humans.
So you see, it is to your own benefit as well as ours that you put your dirty dishes inside me where they belong. Save Sink the trouble and give me my job back! I love those same dishes that Sink despises and guess what, I'm only two feet away from him! It's just as easy! So please, don't make me feel worthless...this is what I was born to do. Give me a reason to exist.
